“At times, Nancy Genn uses collages of tissue like paper in clear and monochromatic shades and at other times in segments that are subtly sketched. These sketchings are ingenious, creative and spontaneous. Indeed, they are the quintessentially light arabesques of graffito. They are creative workings which on one hand signify the extreme arduousness of a work that in the end becomes transfigured and re-elaborated into a light and airy vision which contains the secret of the spirit and on the other hand is also marked by a vigilant and concrete reality that translates into a very contemporary experience. These workings of the spirit don't estrange us from the syncopated course of daily life but rather act to highlight the incised tracks with an inevitable impact. According to Nancy they are like commas in a unique language with its own accents both lucid and filled with fresh brio.”
